The first sensor price is only one part of a CGM budget. Compare the same country, currency, period and product configuration. NIDDK identifies recurring replacement costs and the need to check coverage; neither a generic online price nor another person’s reimbursement establishes your own total.

An annualized calculation
For a planning estimate, annual gross supply cost = sensors needed × price per sensor + required hardware, consumables and fees. Divide by twelve for an annualized monthly comparison. Keep the assumptions visible, including the planned period and whether a labeled wear duration is being used.
Labeled wear time is not a promise that every individual sensor will complete that duration. Distinguish the gross supply cost from a confirmed coverage calculation. Do not subtract an insurer’s percentage from an unrelated retail quote.
Ask about coverage before relying on it
Check the payer’s current criteria, the supplied product and provider, required documentation and the exact cost share. Country access, prescription status, eligibility and reimbursement are separate questions. This page does not publish current retail quotes or guarantee coverage.
