VivaChek X and 6IN1 group several tests in a meter platform. The name on the instrument does not mean one sample on one universal strip produces every listed result.
Match the analyte to the system
| System | Named measurements | Workflow distinction |
|---|---|---|
| VivaChek X | Glucose, ketone and uric acid | Separate analyte-specific strips; optional Bluetooth and 1,000-result memory listed. |
| VivaChek 6IN1 | Glucose, ketone, hemoglobin, total cholesterol and uric acid | Five named analytes. Six listed strip types include separate Ino and Fad glucose strip entries. |
| Glucose/β-ketone Dual | Glucose and β-ketone | Current separate product page explicitly describes one strip giving two results. |
What “6IN1” does and does not tell you
The corporate page lists five named analytes and six strip types. Do not turn the product name into a claim of six different biomarkers. Its glucose entries include Ino and Fad strip types; the analyte count and consumable count answer different questions.
Hemoglobin here also needs precise identification. The 6IN1 electrochemical hemoglobin strip is distinct from the dedicated optical strip used by VivaDiag Plus HB. Total cholesterol is not the same as a full lipid panel, and hemoglobin is not HbA1c.
Build an analyte-by-analyte purchasing list
- Name each measurement required and its intended use.
- Record the exact compatible strip and control material for that system.
- Check units, sample requirements, operating limits and storage for each assay.
- Compare recurring costs per test, not just the number printed in the meter’s name.
Is VivaChek X the same as Ino X?
No. Ino X is a glucose meter in the corporate catalogue. VivaChek X is the separate glucose, ketone and uric acid product.
